Ben has been studying and playing music since 1995. He was fortunate enough to have parents who encouraged and supported his creative efforts. They helped him enroll in course after course and school after school until he went off to study music at the University of Northern Colorado. While in CO, Ben played in multiple bands, recorded as a session artists at both AIMS recording studio and CU Denver’s recording studio. He left CO in 2015 and headed for Rockford IL, where he joined up with the local reggae group “Slatetrain,” and helped kickoff the band “The Antitones,” a large, modern-jazz group who would later go on to produce two professional albums. Ben currently plays keyboards for “Kinda Dead,” a Grateful Dead tribute band. He also writes and performs on his own. Ben is married to his beautiful wife Kelsey, and they now live in the suburbs of Chicago with their two cats, Nugget and Moon Unit.
